I took my parents to lunch at the Olive Garden Restaurant. I bought a $40.00 gift card for Olive Garden.  It costs me $31.60, a savings of 21%.  I go to Retailmenot.com and got a $5.00 off coupon, that brings my total to $26.60, that's a 33.5% total  savings.  Awesome  savings.

Now let me tell you how you can save ---

Type in the address line of your computer

Cardpool.com – pick a gift card that you want to buy.  Now you can just purchase it or you can save more by going to that company’s website that you got the gift card for, sign-up for their email club, 9 times out of 10 you will receive an email with a coupon.  Also the weekly paper ads may have a coupon

Now you can also open a new window by clicking on the little tab above the address line

Retailmenot.com –

This website may get you a promotional code for that restaurant.  Once you’re on that website, in the search box on the top, type in one of the websites you wrote down for that restaurant.  You will need to look up all the company’s one at a time to get the best promotional code, to give you the best savings. On the left of the screen there will be % off or $ off or both, make sure you click on them. You will need to look at all the company’s one at a time to get the best promotional code, to give you the best savings.  If you see Show Coupon Code – write down the code.  If it says Get Deal, that only takes you to their website, don’t need to do that.

Now sometimes there may not be a discount codes or the coupon code is expired, but it’s always better to look.

Type in Ebay.com – in the search box put the name of the company of the gift card, plus adding the word coupons next to it and click search.  Sometimes you can find coupons for a $1.00 plus shipping.  In the long run you will still save.  If you go to that retail company’s website they may also have coupons.

I buy gift cards all the time and also they are also great for birthdays and stocking stuffers.  When you purchase your gift card you will already saving more than, buying them at a store.
